Our school is amazing — overall AND at embracing all sorts of fun cultural events for our different language tracks.
In January my little Frenchies get to learn about and celebrate La Galette (which is basically your king-cake-type event). Cricket was lucky enough to find the feve (a snowman figurine) hidden in her piece of pie this year, and seeing her light up as her teacher crowned her the class “queen” reminded me how much attention fills up her big ol’ heart. (Someone get the girl a stage…or soapbox…or megaphone.)
Also please note E.V.’s tiny teddy bear feve drawing! She’s working on her illustration skills, as always. ;)
