I love our little city so much, and I love its holiday traditions even more.
Tonight we mustered up all our energy (which took a lot of effort with two littles!) and took Cricket to see her first Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting in downtown. It was so fun roasting marshmallows, listening to carols and running into old friends and new. It truly makes our rather populated suburb feel like a small town, and it’s one of my favorite things to do during the holiday season. E.V. was in her element (crowds + free balloons + cookies) and Cricket was on her best behavior, so we couldn’t have asked for a better evening spent with our neighbors. On our way to the official event, we ran past our lot to check on the progress of our future house, and as we rode home tonight post-festivities, I confirmed to Ryan that I’m SO thankful that we’ll be calling Alpharetta our home for a very long time. ;)
P.S.: Cricket got to wear the reindeer cozy that E.V. wore to her first Tree Lighting. Yay for little traditions and memories!
