E.V. and Cricket 100% complained about having to take these photos “again,” and I had to definitely bribe (read: threaten) them to be happy participants this year. (Remind me that in a decade I’ll be thankful I did this each year, mkay? Ha!)
Reports back on the first day of school:
Cricket was thrilled that her two besties from first grade were in her class again, and enthusiastically described some sort of game they played in English class with toothpicks, Life Savers and a gummy worm named “Fred.”
E.V. thinks her teacher’s name (Yasmine) is “just beautiful” and met a “cute boy” in her newly-mixed English class. (Previously they’d stayed with their French class only, and this boy is from the Spanish track.) Hello, teenagehood.
