Ryan and I were commiserating last night how it doesn’t really feel super Christmas-y to us quite yet. In fact, I can’t believe we’re only two weeks away! Maybe it’s the mild weather (I wore a tank top today), lack of snow or the fact that we haven’t watched many Christmas movies yet (except “Charlie Brown’s Christmas” — on repeat), but something’s still lacking around here. Sigh. I’m hoping that that something kicks both of us into the Christmas spirit soon. I need a good dress-up event to wear a schmancy outfit to, I suppose. Or a night spent cozied up with Ryan and a mug of hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire. Or at least a visit to see Santa! ;) Whatever, it is, it better happen soon. Until then, I’m concentrating on enjoying the fruits of my Christmas-decorating labor (although Ryan’s still yet to put away our Bulldawgs out front or climb up on our roof to hang the last of the wreaths, ahem) and trying to soak up the spirit of the season wherever I can find it…even in our Disney-themed advent calendar. (Sacrilegious, you say? Not to toddlers! ;) )
